About BusinessLoanCalculator.net

Free, independent tools and guides for buying a business with an SBA 7(a) loan.

Our Mission

BusinessLoanCalculator.net was built for one purpose: to make SBA 7(a) business acquisition financing easier to understand and model before you're sitting across from a loan officer. Buying an existing business is one of the largest financial decisions most entrepreneurs will ever make, and the SBA loan process involves numbers — equity injection, guarantee fees, DSCR, amortization — that are hard to reason about without a calculator built specifically for how these loans actually work.

We built the tools we wished existed when working through our own deal math: a calculator that reflects real SBA fee structures, real amortization mechanics, and real lender underwriting rules, not a generic loan calculator repurposed for SBA use.

What We Offer

  • SBA 7(a) Loan Calculator — monthly payment, SBA guarantee fee, and equity injection based on 2025 fee schedules.
  • Amortization Schedule Tool — full month-by-month principal and interest breakdown.
  • Business Valuation Calculator — SDE and EBITDA-multiple based valuation estimates for acquisition targets.
  • Live SBA Rate Tracking — current Prime Rate and typical SBA 7(a) rate ranges.
  • Lender Comparison — side-by-side data on SBA Preferred Lenders active in business acquisition financing.
  • Requirements & Eligibility Guides — plain-English explanations of SBA underwriting rules.
  • The Blog — deal structuring strategies, rate commentary, and financing guides updated regularly.

How We Keep Information Accurate

Our calculators are built directly from published SBA fee schedules and SOP guidance (SBA SOP 50 10 7) and standard amortization mathematics. Rate and Prime Rate references are checked against the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate and updated when the Federal Reserve changes the federal funds rate. Lender data (minimum loan sizes, processing times, specialties) is compiled from each lender's publicly available program information and updated periodically — see the "last verified" date in each lender profile's footer.

SBA rules, fees, and lender programs change. We do our best to keep this site current, but you should always confirm final numbers with a licensed SBA lender before making financial decisions — nothing on this site is a substitute for underwriting by an actual lender.

How This Site Is Funded

BusinessLoanCalculator.net is free to use and supported by advertising, including Google AdSense, and by sponsored placements and affiliate partnerships that are clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Featured Partners" wherever they appear on the site. Advertising and sponsorships do not influence the calculator logic, rate data, or editorial content on this site — the math is the math regardless of who is advertising alongside it.

What This Site Is Not

BusinessLoanCalculator.net is not a lender, broker, or financial advisor, and we do not originate loans or provide personalized financial, legal, or tax advice. Everything here is for general informational and educational purposes. Loan approval, terms, and rates are determined solely by SBA-approved lenders based on your specific application and creditworthiness.
